From June 17 to 19, 2026, the conference EVOA – Egitto e Vicino Oriente Antichi 2026 will take place in Florence, an event dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the most recent research in the field of Near Eastern and Egyptian archaeology.

In this context, OrAMi will participate with a series of contributions focusing on its research activities, archaeological missions, and ongoing projects.

On June 17, Luca Peyronel and Agnese Vacca will present a paper entitled “Sulle forme di interazione culturale nel Levante e in Anatolia durante l’età del Bronzo. Le ricerche archeologiche dell’Università Statale di Milano”, focusing on patterns of contact and exchange across different areas of the ancient Near East.

On June 18, Agnese Vacca, Luca Peyronel, Michael Campeggi, and Valentina Oselini will deliver a paper entitled “Dinamiche e traiettorie della complessità socioeconomica in Alta Mesopotamia dalla protostoria all’età imperiale. Ricerche e studi dell’Università degli Studi di Milano”, dedicated to the analysis of long-term processes of development and transformation in Mesopotamian societies.

Participation in the conference represents an important opportunity to share ongoing research results and to strengthen scholarly dialogue at both the national and international levels.
