Known for its central role in trade and exchange across the ancient Mediterranean, Tyre represents a key case study for exploring the economic, cultural, and political dynamics that shaped the Levant and the wider Mediterranean basin during the first millennium BCE.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Drawing on the latest data from excavations on the acropolis, the lecture will highlight new evidence for understanding the city\u2019s urban organization, its transformations over time, and its role within Mediterranean interaction networks.
