This is the central theme of the first study meeting <em data-start=\"223\" data-end=\"306\">\u201cArchaeology in Dialogue. North Africa and Western Asia as Laboratories of Peace\u201d<\/em>, organised by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">ISPCC-CNR<\/span><\/span> and scheduled for Monday, 4 May 2026 in Rome, at the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">CNR<\/span><\/span> (Sala Guglielmo Marconi), from 10:00 to 18:00.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"988\">Among the speakers, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Luca Peyronel<\/span><\/span> will present an overview of the current state of archaeological research in the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Iraqi Kurdistan<\/span><\/span>, outlining ongoing activities as well as interventions related to the protection, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage. His contribution will highlight not only the operational challenges in a complex context, but also the opportunities for international collaboration that archaeology can foster.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1459\">The initiative is conceived as an opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together scholars and experts working in geographically and politically fragile regions, from North Africa to Western Asia.
