La Statale per la Pace is an initiative through which the University of Milan offers a space for reflection, dialogue, and cultural engagement on issues related to peace. The 100 lessons for the Peace testify to the University’s commitment to promoting a culture of peace, rooted in continuous dialogue with society and the territory in which it operates.

As part of this program, the lecture by prof. Luca Peyronel “La Mesopotamia ferita. La ricerca archeologica nei contesti post-bellici del Medio Oriente” will explore the challenges and opportunities of archaeological research in areas affected by conflict, with a live call from the Museum of Ancient Civilizations in Erbil (KRI).

Tatiana Pedrazzi, adjunct professor of Phoenician and Punic Archaeology at the University of Milan will join the lecture as well.

The lectures in this series are open to the public, and University of Milan students are required to register through the lezioniUnimi app.

@Room 435, Via Festa del Perdono 7, October 13th, 2025, h. 12:30 p.m.
